The Hoxton Apprentice Professional Women's Network brings together like-minded women executives who subscribe to the Network Motto: "There's a special place in Hell for any woman who doesn't help another woman".

We meet every 2 months for a three-course lunch and a speaker - unlike other lunches she begins talking before the first course and continues throughout the lunch. Contacts made via the Network tend to bring either more business or more friends and frequently both. The £45 cost  is split between £25 for the lunch and £20 funding for long-term unemployed who are being given skills to get and keep a permanent job. This is a guilt-free occasion as 100% of the profits are ploughed straight back into the charity, Training For Life. Lunches are from 11.30am to 2:15-ish

From Marie-Claire(May 2011):
This Network, described as “Cool for Creatives” is one of 4 specially recommended as influential women’s networks. And there’s a case history about Veronique who came to the Network lunch, met people who introduced her to others and through this she obtained a fabulous job in the area she wanted. More importantly, the restaurant’s aim – of training long-term unemployed is described as well.

" I have been to many women's networking events and this one will stand out because it was so jolly and informal and every woman I talked to was accomplished, interesting and fun."

"What a lunch! As always the Hoxton is outstandingly lovely and the staff just gorgeous- welcoming friendly and personally involved at every level. The food was very nice and I loved the British theme. I always feel we have had lunch at a house rather than a restuarant because of the personal feel. The people attending were just great – its of course a stunning networking event and I always meet one or two people that I end up being in touch with to a mutual benefit but more importantly it is food for the soul – inspirational people, great conversation, high humour, incredible speakers and worthy causes."

"Thank you again for such a fun and inspiring lunch yesterday - I'd do it every week if I could! I loved the way you integrated the experiences of the apprentices and staff and were so honest about how they started and how far they'd come. Brilliant work to you all and congratulations!"

"It was a fabulous lunch. I was delighted to meet many more inspirational women. The positivity in the room was shining through."

" Lunch was an absolute hoot and Anne was wonderful. The food was delicious and pud went straight to my hips. I was a bit zonked from Kuwait - but so very happy to have been with you all. Thank you."

"I think the restaurant has done a really great job and if people do that I always think they deserve their happy clients spreading the word. And thanks for a great lunch. Anne is amazing - I loved her talk. I just want to be her best friend now!"

"What a great room full of great women. I am already booking the 4th Nov."

"The women you first introduced me to could be a real help to me! In just 10 mins or so she gave me some very useful advice and feedback. I am meeting her over coffee, etc"

"Am converted into a fan! Please book me in for November 4."
